The Allendale Community for Senior Living's Edward Acquah Named 'LPN of the Year' by NJADONA/LTC

Bergen-Passaic, NJ (1888PressRelease) May 16, 2014 - Edward Acquah, a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at The Allendale Nursing Home at The Allendale Community for Senior Living, has been selected as "LPN of the Year" by The New Jersey Association of Directors of Nursing Administration/Long Term Care Inc. (NJADONA/LTC). The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated excellence in long-term care, and who provide outstanding care or related services going above the call of duty.

A Bergenfield, N.J. resident and native of Ghana, Acquah joined The Allendale Community in 2010. "This award is very meaningful and rewarding both to me and my entire family. It demonstrates that with hard work and dedication, a person can achieve anything," said Acquah, who currently is pursuing his RN degree. "Working with seniors is very fulfilling, and I love being part of The Allendale Community team."

Acquah was recognized in April at an awards dinner in conjunction with NJADONA/LTC's 25th annual convention in Atlantic City. NJADONA/LTC is the leading advocate and educational organization for nurse administrators and directors of nursing in long-term care. The association supports and promotes quality of care for those individuals receiving long-term care, and concern for those delivering long-term care.
