The agricultural enterprises of the PAVA holding finish the harvest of peas, oats and rye
The agricultural enterprises of the PAVA holding - Agrofirma Niva Llc. (Solton district) and Allac Llc. (Kamensky district) have begun harvesting campaign on time adhering to a strict agronomical schedule. For example, at Agrofirma Niva the harvest of peas is finally completed.
- (1888PressRelease) September 03, 2011 - It is worth noting that this year the enterprise launched this crop in the rotation for the first time. Elite grades of seeds were purchased and during the first harvest campaign it already allowed to harvest the high yield of 34 centners of high-quality peas per hectare. According to the Holding's experts, these results were obtained due to resource-saving, minimum tillage technologies, that provides a high soil-protection effect of wind and water erosion as well as allows to increase productivity and reduce energy costs.
The other important factor is the usage of highly productive machinery. The soil was treated with wide-harrow "Lemken", then "Selford" complexes were involved during the sowing campaign. All of this created a good basis for the further development of land reserves. As the prospects of holding - an increase in acreage of peas.
At the present time Pava's enterprises finished the oat harvest. This year its crop capacity increased 30% against the last year. In spite of this summer dryness, experts of Allac Llc. managed to get a crop of rye at 25 kg/ha, which is generally a good indicator of the current harvest by district. The first results of the agricultural enterprise's transition, on principle, to the new no-till technology has already shown its results. This technology allows to resist the soil erosion, to manage nutrients, to retain moisture and to reduce costs for the grain growing, reducing its prime cost.
