The 5th Annual International Cotillion is coming to New York City

New York, NY (1888PressRelease) June 20, 2018 - The 5th Annual International Cotillion is coming to the Big Apple for a weekend of fur, fashion and fun. People will travel from around the world to compete in this furbaby fashion show benefitting Yorkie911 Rescue.

G-Girl Productions is bringing their furbaby fundraising to New York for the first time. The company has done previous events in Florida, Virginia and North Carolina. To date, G-Girl Productions has raised over $100,000 for charities and rescues throughout the country.

G-Girl Productions will host the furbaby fashion show on August 10 and 11 at the renowned Wyndham New Yorker Hotel in New York City.

“Fashion is a profitable and constantly growing industry,” said Laura Souza, owner of G Girl Productions. “What people might not realize is pet fashion is also a multi-billion dollar market. Every year, we’ve seen a rising interest and growth in pet couture. ”

The weekend extravaganza begins on Friday with International Night, an evening devoted to honoring diversity and celebrating international friendships. Participants are asked to clothe their dogs in costumes representing a country of their choice.

The Cotillion, the featured event of the weekend, will take place on Saturday. Furbabies will conquer the runway wearing the finest gowns and tuxedos created by their favorite designers. Afterwards, a formal dinner will be served to owners and their pups.

At the Cotillion, fundraising benefitting Yorkie911 Rescue will take place. Guests can participate in raffles, a live auction, 50/50 and a silent auction. Yorkie911 Rescue is a nonprofit made up of volunteers who rescue and find the perfect adoptive home for Yorkshire Terriers and other small breed dogs.

The Cotillion is the most prestigious G-Girl productions event of the year and winning top honors as Mr. and Miss Cotillion are among the most sought-after titles in the world of designer pet fashion competition. Celebrity judges from the pet fashion world will select the winners.

This is the first year the Annual International Cotillion will be held in New York City. In previous years, it has been held in Florida. This year, people will travel from around the globe to compete in the fashion capital of the world.
