The 2nd Annual Global Advanced Fossil-Gen Summit 2012 - Will China Outpaces U.S. and EU in Developing Advanced Ultra-Supercritical?
Asia Carbon Energy is announcing the 2nd Annual Advanced Fossil-Gen Summit (AFG2012) during 5th-6th, December 2012, with a focus on Advanced Ultra-Supercritical.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) September 26, 2012 - This year, over 120 senior stakeholders will be gathered to collaborate on RD&D for Advanced Ultra-Supercritical in China and global including manufacturers of advanced boiler, steam turbine, components and material; institutes involved in material R&D and testing; and power generation companies to deploy novel fossil-gen technologies.
When China activated its 1st of the kind "700℃ Innovative Alliance" at national level by July 2011, it expressed the determination of Chinese government to lead this advanced fossil fuel generation technology to the next level. At this level, China has the same challenge like U.S., EU and Japan, where material limits the current technology.
Although China is not strong in developing novel material like its counterparts, it has competitive advantages such as a government in support of coal fired generation, large base of operating 1000MW ultra-supercritical generating units to accumulate real time data at a scale, and now a national level industrial alliance to collaborate institute, manufacture and power company.
It only took 18 years for China from developing supercritical to have the largest number of ultra-supercritical power generating units in the world, as of 2012 China has 59 1000MW ultra-supercritical generating units (including operating and under construction units), and the most recent case, it took only 3 years for China Huaneng Group to put a 120,000t/y of carbon capture demonstration plant into operation.
Will China outpace US and EU in this round of RD&D for Advanced Ultra-Supercritical? What is the current status of RD&D in China? What are the opportunities for leading manufacturer of material and component?
Let us find out more at the 2nd Annual Global Advanced Fossil-Gen Summit this December in Beijing.
