The 2nd Annual Female Hip Hop Honors Awards' is being held at The Radisson Hotel in Los Angeles, California, Saturday May 21st from 6-12AM.

This year's 2011 Female Hip-Hop Honors will recognize selected nominees in 8 categories and will honor the accomplishments of the females who helped lay the foundation for women in hip-hop. The categories are Best R & B Combo of the year, B-Girl Hip-Hop Awards, Female Mixtape of the Year, Social Media Grind Award, Trail Blazer Award, Girl Grind Award, Female Hip Hop Rap/Model Award and Breakthrough Artist of the year award.
Our Honorees this year is Roxanne Shante, Suga T and Shawnna. Also, this year we will award Female Publicist of the Year to "Trea Davenport" of Trea Day Management & Publicity for all her support of UGG and for her continues grind in her field.

Unlike the Grammy Awards or the Billboard Music Awards, the 2nd ANNUAL FEMALE HIP-HOP HONORS were created to acknowledge and honor the achievements and contributions of legendary females in hip-hop, unsigned and independent artists within the urban music scene. Every year there are incredible records released by independent labels and artists. Very rarely do the institutional accolades of the music industry reach or embrace female hip-hop artist, independent music or the community of artists and fans who now represent 25% of all global music sales. Hence, 2nd ANNUAL FEMALE HIP-HOP HONORS was born to fill that void.
