The 2nd annual elaborate and prestigious Afro Model Awards ceremony, which rewards and recognises the contributions of individuals and organisations, both of Afro Caribbean and non Afro Caribbean origins.
- (1888PressRelease) April 02, 2013 - The 2nd annual elaborate and prestigious Afro Model Awards ceremony, which rewards and recognises the contributions of individuals and organisations, both of Afro Caribbean and non Afro Caribbean origins, towards the growth, development and empowerment of Afro Caribbean; Fashion, Modelling, Style, Creativity, Innovation, Personality and Afro centrism, will be taking place at the prestigious Monarch Hall of Hilton Metropole Hotel, Edgware Road, London, United Kingdom, by 6.00pm.
Established in 2011, Afro Model Awards is fast becoming globally recognised as the highest accolade in Afro Caribbean Fashion and Style, and serves to recognise, acknowledge and reward excellence of models, agencies, personalities, designers, innovators and performance throughout the fashion and style industry.
There will be an A list of celebrities lining up from the fashion and style industry, in attendance. This year awards ceremony will be hosted by Sultry Simone from the United States of America, as well as performances for top comedians and musicians, alongside a live competition amongst professional male and female models, veiling to be crowned King and Queen of Runway Catwalk.
The award categories are; Best Newcomer Designer, Best Personality, Best Catwalk Model, Best Designer, Best Triple Threat, Best Legs, Best Behind, Best Chest, Best Child Model, Best Model Agency, Best Casting Site, Best Creativity, Best Fashion Saloon, Best Accessories Designer Best Stylist, Best Beautician and Best Model Media.
There will also be honourary awards given to a few veterans and pioneers of Afro Caribbean fashion and style industry.
This awards ceremony will have over 2000+ attendees, and there will also be an exhibition section for the latest fashion and style designs, as well as a live catwalk event to produce a runway catwalk winner, alongside motivational speeches from fashion and style professionals. The event is designed to encourage young and upcoming Models, Designers, Stylist, Beauticians etc, to focus, aspirer and be inspired to achieve a successful, viable, balanced and realistic career goals, in their choosen fashion and style career.
There will also be a live catwalk event which will involve three stages, round 1, 2 & 3 respectively, and if any model becomes successful through these three stages and wins the catwalk event, then they shall be entitled to a cash prize and an award trophy for Best Catwalk King or Queen.
