The 10th Annual Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo: A Decade Of Tradition On Display As Top Cowboys Return To The "Oc"
Proceeds from this year's Rodeo will result in more than $1 million in total charitable contributions.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) August 10, 2010 - WHAT: Fans of rodeo, family fun and several key charities in South Orange County are invited to the 10th Annual Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo, featuring the best and most famous cowboys in the nation, each invited to compete for thousands of dollars in purse money!
WHY/WHO: Known as America's Richest Two-Day Rodeo, Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo has been hosted by Rancho Mission Viejo's O'Neill-Moiso family for the past 10 years to help celebrate the great traditions of the American West and the family's enduring ranching heritage. Proceeds from the annual Rodeo benefit a number of local South Orange County charities, including the Camino Health Center in San Juan Capistrano and The Shea Center for Therapeutic Riding, also in San Juan Capistrano, and more.
DETAILS: This year's all-star Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) line-up features some of the rodeo world's best and most famous cowboys competing in the following events:
• Bareback riding
• Saddle bronc riding
• Bull riding
• Steer wrestling
• Tie down roping
• Team roping
WHEN: Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29, 2010. Both days will include games, activities, more than 45 vendors, and entertainment for the whole family!
Gates open at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 28 with opening ceremonies at 3:45 p.m., and the Rodeo starting at 4:00 pm. Following the Rodeo, a 6:00 p.m. concert will get everyone in a dancing mood! On Sunday, gates open at 11:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies beginning at 1:15 p.m.
WHERE: The Rodeo will be conducted at the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park at San Juan Capistrano, located at the intersection of Ortega Highway and Antonio Parkway/La Pata on the western border of Rancho Mission Viejo in South Orange County.
TICKETS: $20.00 (adults - includes admission to Saturday concert);
$10.00 (children ages 4 - 12); Children 3 and under are free.
