THAI Welcomes Three Boeing 777-300ER Aircraft to Fleet for Bangkok to London Flights

With worldwide travel restrictions gradually easing, and Thailand’s border reopening, the national flag carrier airline of Thailand, Thai Airways International, has recently welcomed three Boeing 777-300ER (extended range) aircraft into its fleet to accommodate the increasing demand for air travel. (1888PressRelease) June 06, 2022 - The first two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft were delivered in early April, with the final being welcomed later in the month by THAI to bolster fleet competency and provide travellers with a spacious cabin and a state-of-the-art flying experience.

Enhanced fuel efficiency allows the extended range aircraft to help reduce carbon emissions, while being able to accommodate over 300 passengers. The aircraft is wide-bodied to provide passengers with a spacious cabin for a comfortable flight.

THAI, as part of their rehabilitation plan framework, has leased the three Boeing aircraft, with fees calculated using a “power-by-the-hour” approach. The new THAI aircraft will be utilized as one of the four primary aircraft types included as part of the rehabilitation plan, as the 777-300ERs will allow THAI to reduce maintenance costs and heighten service quality.
