TG Campus Named as One of the Top 10 EdTech Start-ups of 2019
TG Campus has been named one of the 10 Best Start-ups in EdTech, 2019 by StartUp City for bringing innovation and creativity to education.
- (1888PressRelease) June 19, 2019 - Tomorrow’s Genius (TG) India, a GreenPoint Global subsidiary, has been making waves in the EdTech space recently. Despite being just 1 year old, the company already caters to 250+ high school students. In the near future, this number is expected to grow in leaps and bounds. Sanjay Sharma, TG’s founder, is quite positive about the future. He says, “We have a steady addition of students and the target is to have 10,000 students on board by March 2020.” The organisation is currently operational in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Punjab, Delhi and Kolkata, and plans to start operations in other Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities by the end of 2019.
The company’s primary aim is to provide quality and affordable education to students and expand into rural areas by 2020. The courses are offered through TG Campus™, a cloud-based platform that offers live online tutoring with video and audio communication. TG’s carefully curated content coupled with regular testing and quarterly parent-teacher interactions have helped change education in the country. This is one of the main reasons why StartUp City, a special magazine by Silicon India, featured it on its list of 10 Best EdTech Start-ups for 2019.
TG Campus™ uses AI to bridge the gap between teachers and students in a truly unique way. While talking about the company in a recent interview, Mr. Sharma spoke about the need for such educational platforms in the Digital India of today. “With the presence of Jio in rural areas, internet connection has become easily available to everybody and TG can reach almost every household. Deserving students from rural areas do not have to travel or migrate to bigger cities to prepare themselves for competitive exams. Instead, they can stay at home and prepare for these exams with the help of TG.”
The TG team, made up predominantly of IIT alumni, is more than qualified to create the various courses. The staff works in tandem with SMEs from various academic backgrounds who create content and formulate the question banks for the students. Each ‘class’ is made up of just 10-15 students, ensuring that each learner gets enough attention from the tutor. Additionally, classes are recorded so that pupils can go over the course work as many times as required. The company also offers 24x7 assistance to both teachers and pupils. While talking about what differentiates them from their competitors, Sanjay says, “All our teachers work with the willpower of imparting quality education to students at their home, without making it essential for them to travel. This helps students manage their hectic schedules better.”
Currently, the conversion rate of students signing up for a TG demo to enrolling for a live session is a whopping 85%. TG is well on its way to capturing the market and making education accessible to everybody. Outside India, the company has a presence in USA, Singapore, UK, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.
