TestSoup Founder Returns from Air Force Deployment in Afghanistan as Chief Product Officer
After a nearly one year deployment in Afghanistan, TestSoup's founder returns to help grow his company and start creating test prep materials for a variety of exams that normally go almost completely unserved.
- (1888PressRelease) January 19, 2012 - TestSoup (http://testsoup.com), the premier provider of innovative online and mobile test prep solutions, this month welcomes home its founder and Chief Product Officer, Brian Reese, an active duty Captain in the United States Air Force. He returns in a role that will be primarily focused on planning and execution - and has plans to expand TestSoup's current line-up of test prep material, which already includes nearly 100 sets of flashcards for standardized tests, AP exams, and much more.
"It's great to be home. It was a fantastic experience and I got to work with some awesome people. That being said, I couldn't be happier with the progress that's been made at TestSoup over the past year. The entire team far exceeded my expectations."
For the duration of Reese's deployment, the managerial role of the company was filled by Tom Kuegler, a managing partner of Wasabi Ventures, LLC, a venture capital company that specializes in the early stage incubation and funding of technology companies. Kuegler oversaw the creation of dozens of new flashcard sets, the launch of an aggressive campaign to make TestSoup's content widely available on the iPhone and in the Android Market, and the attainment of 50,000 active users on the TestSoup system.
"Part of the great thing about a start-up environment is that you have to fill many shoes," said Kuegler. "But when Brian was called up for deployment the entire TestSoup team had to chip in to keep the momentum going. Now that Brian is back, 2012 is set to be something special for TestSoup."
Reese and Kuegler are currently working with the rest of the TestSoup team on plans to begin offering low-cost or free study materials for a wide variety of tests that are currently completely unserved.
