Bolt tightening specialists Tentec Show New Compact-8 & Promote Certified Training Courses at ONS 2012.
- (1888PressRelease) August 15, 2012 - Bolt tightening specialist, Tentec Ltd, is pleased to announce that its products will be on show on Stand 203 in Hall B, with its partner KNM Hydraulikk AS, at this month's ONS exhibition.
A highlight of the exhibition will be the new Compact-8 series of subsea tensioning tools comprising just 8 tensioning tools to cover bolt sizes from ¾" to 4" and are suitable for use on the majority of standard pipe flanges. They can be used on many specifications of pipeline flanges including the newer SPO/Vector Compact Flanges, In addition to the conventional ANSI B16.5, ANSI B16.47-Series A, API-6A and API-17D flanges. The COMPACT-8 series also incorporates many of the features and benefits of Tentec's previous subsea tensioners that have been used safely and reliably by divers around the world since 1991.
The new COMPACT-8 tensioners have also been integrated into Tentec's BTS (Bolt Tightening Software). The software saves engineers both time and money by allowing documentation for multiple bolted joint projects to be created quickly and efficiently and has the additional advantage that engineers can avoid the possibility of error that often occur with manual torque and tension calculations. BTS Software along with the Compact-8 range of subsea tensioners is the perfect subsea bolt tensioning solution package.
Also on display will be Tentec's other bolt tightening products for the oil and gas industry. These include the Optimus Flange Pulling System, hydraulic torque wrenches and one-off examples of Tentec's all round engineering capabilities and expertise in finding the right bolting solutions that makes them the first choice for offshore services companies throughout the world.
Finally, Tentec will be introducing its recently launched Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) certified bolt training courses and qualifications for the oil and gas industry. The basic training units cover the use of bolt tightening tooling, assembly of components, joint verification and quality paperwork, while additional courses include other aspects of bolting operations including risk assessment, method statements, isolations, interpretation of drawings and flange management. For those operators using Tentec equipment, there are specific modules covering the correct use of Hydraulic Nuts and Tentec's popular BTS - Bolt Tightening Software.
Tentec's experienced trainers can offer the courses either at the Tentec training facility in the UK or onsite - anywhere in the world. Come along to the Stand to discuss these courses in more detail.
