Tecma Group Mexico Workforce Practices Preventive Medicine

- El Paso, TX (1888PressRelease) November 26, 2013 - During the period that included the last week of October, until November 15, 2013, The Tecma Group's Mexico workforce was the beneficiary of a battery of medical tests and vaccinations that were administered during the company's annual Preventive Medicine Week.
This effort was led by Tecma's director of human resources, Abraham Medina, and was supervised by the head of the Tecma Group's Medical Services Department, Dr. Gustavo Villegas. Additional support related to this initiative was provided Mr. Carlos Chihuahua, as well as other representatives from Mexico's Institute for Social Security, or IMSS.
More than three thousand diagnostics and vaccinations were performed in the medical infirmary areas at each one of the Tecma Group of Companies' client manufacturng sites. A specific breakdown of the tests and vaccinations performed on the more than three thousand members of Tecma's Mexico workforce included:
-Four hundred and fifty-nine cholesterol examinations
-Eight hundred and eighty glucose tests
-Six hundred and four tetanus vaccinations
-One thousand and one hundred and sixteen flu shots
-Two hundred and fifty-four PAP smears
-Nine hundred and four blood pressure checks
All of the services listed above were performed at no cost to those that received them. The Tecma Group of Companies, as well as those firms that make up its client base, believes that, in addition to ensuring greater productivity, a healthy Mexico workforce is a prerequisite to the promotion of individual satisfaction and welfare, as well as to bolstering the strength of the nation as a whole.
