Technology company officially opens its doors
So much to celebrate as Postcode Anywhere welcomes community partners and stakeholders.
- (1888PressRelease) April 17, 2013 - The "what's your postcode?" company Postcode Anywhere is delighted to officially open its doors to customers, partners and friends to celebrate and reflect on its incredible journey.
Set up in 2001 by Guy Mucklow and Jamie Turner, the company has grown to become one of the leading providers of web based addressing software in the UK, accounting for over 1 in every 2 addresses looked up in website check out forms.
As the company has now settled into its new headquarters in the recently rejuvenated Diglis Basin, the directors felt it would present an ideal opportunity to say thank you to all its supporters.
Worcester City MP, Robin Walker has kindly volunteered to open the building on Thursday 11th April and commented on the company's contribution to the business community in Worcester, saying.
"I am hugely excited about the potential of this dynamic company which is now headquartered in the heart of Worcester. Having heard how Postcode Anywhere has already grown from being a small start up to being a significant employer; and winning contracts overseas; I think that this business can be an inspiration for others to seek out the opportunities of the online world."
"As a Member of the Select Committee for Business Innovation and Skills, I have recently called for an inquiry into the future of the retail sector. Postcode Anywhere's success is a reminder that there are huge opportunities as well as challenges in the changes taking place."
"I am delighted to be opening this office."
Postcode Anywhere's opening ceremony is also an ideal opportunity to celebrate some of the company's recent commercial achievements, such as the recent announcement of a strategic relationship with Canada Post who will be using Postcode Anywhere's technology to provide a similar service into the Canadian market.
Commented Guy Mucklow, managing director: "I believe that 2013 will be seen as an important turning point for Postcode Anywhere. We are increasingly being seen as the "go-to" business for large corporations that have a need for better data quality and have positioned ourselves, through the acquisition of our new headquarter building, to accommodate for the significant future growth that we believe will stem from this.
"I'm expecting "Waterside" as our new building is called, to represent a "watershed" or new chapter in the life of Postcode Anywhere.
"We're hugely excited to be working in such a fantastic, motivating environment and look forward to playing an important role in Worcester's business community."
