TCG's Employees Reach out to the Community this Holiday Season
The Continental Group's Broward County Offices Combat Hunger and Offer Goodie-Filled Backpacks to Children in Need.
- (1888PressRelease) December 13, 2012 - The Continental Group (TCG), a FirstService Residential Management company, joins forces with local charities to put smiles on children's faces for the holidays. Its Broward Regional office will be contributing to philanthropic activities throughout South Florida.
Each holiday charitable effort is part of Continental Cares, TCG's year-round corporate philanthropic outreach program dedicated to enhancing the lives of the neighbors, residents, and communities it serves across Florida. The primary focus of Continental Cares is to reach out to nonprofit organizations and entities that meet the Continental Cares mission.
The Broward and Palm Beach High-Rise divisions, Miami-Dade and Broward County HOA office employees as well as the residents of the communities they manage are working with the I Have a Dream Foundation. Their goal is to surprise local school children with backpacks filled with Christmas gifts and school supplies when they return to school after their winter break.
"We're happy to partner up with the 'I Have a Dream Foundation' for this 'Holiday after the Holidays drive," said Andrea Escue, TCG's Regional Director of Client Relations. "It's nice for TCG and its employees to continually give back to the community it represent. This year we're including as many different facets of the organization as we can!"
In an initiative to feed underprivileged children for Thanksgiving, TCG employees from Broward High-Rise, Broward HOA and Hollywood Corporate offices collected more than $2,000 worth of food for the children of New River Middle School, a Title I public school
"We are really proud of the way all of TCG's employees came together this year for New River Middle School, from administrative assistants to regional directors and property managers," said Turner Billups, Sr. VP of Broward High-Rise for TCG. "TCG's employees strive to be philanthropic year round, and the holidays are a time when they really shine!"
