Tata Motors Full Throttle Trail concludes in Jodhpur
Tata Motors Full Throttle Trail, an extreme off-roading property for Tata Motors SUV owners, concluded successfully at Hotel Lake View and Resort Jodhpur. The half-day trail was flagged off at 10:00 am from Lake View and resort, with over 25 Tata Motors vehicles participating in the event.
- (1888PressRelease) August 15, 2012 - Participation of vehicles from the Tata Motors stable included the Tata Safari, Tata Xenon XT, Tata Sumo and Tata Aria, in both 4x4 and 4x2 configurations. Each vehicle representing the capability of Tata Motors vehicles. Customers from in and around Ludhiana attended the trail, maneuvering challenging routes and the rugged terrain. The track had been prepared specially for this off roading activity.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jatin Lakra, Head Marketing (Sumo & Sumo Grande), Tata Motors Ltd. said "We are delighted with the enthusiasm and participation of Tata Motors customers from in and around Jodhpur, at this off-roading event. The activity not only demonstrated the capability of Tata Motors vehicles, but also enhanced the experience received by each one of our customers, with most of them going off-roading, for the very first time. The track was customised with variations in terms of the surface, and also the experience and expectations levels of participants, ensuring they made the most out of their vehicles.
Mr. Lakra further added, "Tata Motors through its motorsports division, Tata Motors Full Throttle, hopes to create and cultivate motorsports in India, by giving enthusiast a platform to experience the true capabilities of their vehicles, to learn, discuss and experience the thrill of motorsports."
The off-road track which was located near Keru Village on the outskirts of Jodhpur consisted of sand banks, river crossing, steep rocky descents posing some exciting challenges for participants who needed to complete the trail within a maximum stipulated time to qualify as finishers.
A total of 21 trails have been planned across the country over the course of the year, with each course being planned to exhibit the thrill, ruggedness, toughness and handling of Tata Motors SUVs in off-road conditions. The trail in Jodhpur is the 5th trail. Earlier trails have taken place at Chandigarh, Ludhiana and NCR. Through these half-day off-roading activities, enthusiasts also familiarize themselves with some serious off-road driving techniques, through a quick getaway in the proximity of their respective cities.
Tata Motors Full Throttle recently launched another property under the Full Throttle banner, called Tata Motors Full Throttle Experience spanning over a number of days. With the Himalayan Experience having successfully concluded in July, the Konkan Experience will be flagged off from Mumbai on 28th September, traversing through the Western Coast and Ghats of the country.
