Taste of Crete a Sponsor for HealthCorps' Fresh from the Garden Gala
Taste of Crete is going to be one of the sponsors for HealthCorps' Fresh From the Garden Gala.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) April 10, 2011 - Taste of Crete is a sponsor for HealthCorps' Fresh From the Garden Gala on April 13th, 2011. This will be the second time in as many years that Taste of Crete will be a sponsor, donating traditional Greek Evangelical cookies. HealthCorps is a non-profit foundation started and run by Mehmet Oz, the host of the acclaimed Dr. Oz television show. HealthCorps currently serves over 41 schools in eleven states, providing lessons, activities, and experiences which integrate mental, physical, and nutritional health education for tens of thousands of students.
Held at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in Manhattan, the Annual Garden Gala is HealthCorps' largest fundraising event. Over 750 Guests will be in attendance. In the past, celebrities, politicians, philanthropists, and business leaders such as Chancellor of New York City Schools Joel Klein, Quincy Jones, Wyclef Jean, and Miss Universe have attended the event. This year, the event will be honoring Tibor Hollo of Florida East Coast Realty, Deb and Hugh Jackman, and Russell Simmons of Rush Communications.
Taste of Crete is a manufacturer, wholesaler, retailer, and soon-to-be bakery of Greek food and cultural products headquartered in Hillsborough, New Jersey.
As an In-Kind Goods and Services, Taste of Crete will providing healthy cookie bags for all of the guests in attendance.
