Tantra Tees Launches Its First Online Store

Net Assets is the exclusive global online distributor for Tantra T-shirts. While Net Assets has built and runs the Tantra online-store, it also handles the promotions, online sales, product deliveries and customer services for TantraUniverse.com.

    In a report published in 2009 by digital news resource, AlooTechie, Ranjiv Ramchandani, founder and chief of Tantra, said that since Tantra is primarily a youth brand, the youth are very comfortable with online buying. He went on to say that the objective behind launching the website is to make Tantra products available on a global basis, to a global audience, including consumers in towns and cities across India where there is no physical retail presence. It is part of the business strategy to have multi channel availability for Tantra products.

    Not only does TantraUniverse.com stock all the popular T-shirts that have made Tantra a cult t-shirt brand with Indians, both in India and abroad, it also stocks all new Tantra products that are otherwise not readily available upon immediate release. Amongst these new products are a whole host of products like caps, mouse pads and bags. TantraUniverse.com is currently running a Go Green campaign in association with NDTV. The Tantra products included in this campaign are essentially goods like t-shirts, bags and mouse pads with environment centric and conservation oriented, thought provoking messages.

    TantraUniverse.com stores the same products that Tantra otherwise sells within the offline, brick and mortar stores. However, the online channel does have a marginal add-on delivery cost. Ajay Miglani, director, Net Assets World, says that TantraUniverse.com's vast product line up is comparable to a large dedicated Tantra showroom. Consumers can create a wish-list, select and checkout design, colour and size and thus engage with the brand. Since its launch in February 2009, TantraUniverse.com has already sold a few thousand t-shirts and continues to gain momentum through interactions with its fans on Facebook and focus on an upcoming contest.
