Talisman Colombia & CWC Group Announce Winners of Essay Contest in Colombia
Talisman Energy & CWC Group held an essay contest with students from 6 major universities in Colombia. 3 winners were chosen and invited, all expenses paid, to attend the Colombia Oil & Gas COnference & Exhibition in Cartagena on the 28-30 April 2015.

The Talisman Colombia & CWC partnered contest sought to find the three best essays on "How can Colombia adapt to the new reality of oil prices and over supply that unconventional exploration generates?"
Students from six major universities in Colombia took part in the contest, and the winners are:
• Juan Sebastian Severiche, studying Petroleum Engineering at Universidad América
• Erwin German Pavolini, studying Mechanical Engineering at Universidad de los Andes
• Natalia Cardona, studying Chemical Engineering at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana
The prize for the three winners are flights, accommodation and tickets to attend the 5th Colombia Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition, taking place 28-30th April, at the Centro de Convenciones Cartagena de Indias, Cartagena, as well as the opportunity to meet important Oil & Gas key stakeholders and presenting their essays in the technical sessions.
Colombia Oil & Gas is supporting the educational sector alongside Talisman Colombia as the need for Colombian professionals in offshore, LNG, crude oil recovery, unconventionals and other oil and gas industry sectors is important to sustainable development of the country's economy.
The committee of judges that reviewed the essays included:
• Boris Mulett, Vice President of Assets, Talisman Colombia
• Henry Medina, President of Vitol Colombia, former Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy
• José Francisco Chalela, Partner, Gamboa & Chalela, and former Vice President of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Occidental de Colombia Inc.
