Synergy Orchestra Will Present The Future Of Classical Music In St. Petersburg
On January 5, Synergy Orchestra, the string ensemble from St. Petersburg together with famous world-class musicians and young artists, will destroy all stereotypes about academic performance and classical music. The grand concert will be held on the stage of "LenDok" - the legendary hall in St. Petersburg.
- (1888PressRelease) November 28, 2012 - The format of experimental creative work is very familiar to Synergy Orchestra: the ensemble has repeatedly arranged extraordinary concerts on rooftops, open spaces, and even factories. The musicians will share their unique vision of music on January 5, 2013. The performance will be held in the new concert hall of the St. Petersburg Documentary FilmStudio at the 12 Kryukov Canal Embankment.
White hall, thanks to its excellent acoustics, was previously used as a recording studio, which was visited by all the famous St. Petersburg musicians (D. Shostakovich, A. Petrov, I. Shvarts and others). Only recently, listeners got the opportunity to enjoy the live sound in an old mansion after the reconstruction of the hall for concerts.
Synergy Orchestra (http://www.synergyorchestra.com/) invited winners of the most prestigious classical music competitions to participate in the concert. The famous experimenters in academic music and the most prominent of modern artists will meet on the same stage.
Musicians have chosen a classical program that serves as the confirmation of the eternal relevance of beautiful thoughts and feelings for many centuries. The concert will present the masterpieces of classical music for soloists and orchestra, including the immortal works of Mozart, Bach and Vivaldi. The music will be accompanied by video art created especially for the event.
Together with Synergy Orchestra, the music will be performed by violinist Andrey Baranov, the winner of the Queen Elizabeth International Music competition in Belgium, and Sergey Malov, the winner of the Michael Hill competition in New Zealand, Tokyo Viola Competition, Jascha Heifetz competition in Vilnius and many others. Virtuosos Fedor Belugin (viola), Mikhail Degtyarev (cello), and Andrew Fedchenko will be soloists too.
Dmitry Saetovich, the music director of Synergy Orchestra, says that the January concert will initiate a new era. "Classical music is becoming stylish among the young people again, and it is no accident that the cultural capital of Russia became the epicenter of this interest."
