Synergy HomeCare Leads Donations In Community Water Drive
In SCAN Health Plan Water Drive, Synergy HomeCare Contributed 7,800 bottles.
- Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) September 22, 2010 - Long, hot Arizona summers are particularly hard for senior citizens. Among the many contributors to the SCAN Health Plan was Synergy HomeCare, a home care franchisor headquartered in Arizona.
In a state that needs it the most, water is a precious resource in Arizona. Among the victims of severe dehydration and heat stroke, people age 65 and over are listed first (according to the Arizona Department of Health Services).
In an effort to quell the thirst of the thousands of resident senior citizens, SCAN Health Plan challenged partners in senior health to participate in their second annual community water drive. According to a release by SCAN Health Plan, ten organizations in the Phoenix area contributed 19,000 bottles of water to the cause.
Synergy HomeCare, championed the needs of seniors by giving 7,800 bottles of water to the cause - about 41% of the total collections.
"Something so simple as a bottle of water can make a big difference in the overall health of one person - especially during the summer months, says Synergy Home Care East Valley owner Mike Endredy, "I am glad Synergy HomeCare played such a big part in this drive, and look forward to what we can give next year."
The water was delivered to the Set Free Ministry and then distributed to the Heat Relief Network, which operates when temperatures are consistently above 100F.
The Synergy HomeCare Corporate office is located in Gilbert, Arizona. Currently, there are five Synergy HomeCare franchises in Arizona.
