Synefra honored with two GIREM Leadership awards
Leading Integrated Infrastructure Solutions' provider, Pune based Synefra Engineering & Construction Ltd - A Tanti Group Company, bagged two of the prestigious 13 GIREM Leadership awards for their Project One Earth.
- (1888PressRelease) October 11, 2011 - The awards were conferred by Shri Kamal Nath, Hon'ble Urban Development Minister, Government of India in an event recently held at Goa.
Suzlon One Earth, a project conceived, managed and executed by Synefra won the award for categories viz. "Sustainable Project of the Year" and "Best Office Space Design of the Year". These recognitions were bestowed on Synefra for using sustainable and green standards of engineering and construction while designing One Earth. Synefra was the only company this year to bag 2 awards out of possible 13 categories. Synefra's flagship project for its client Suzlon, is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certified by Indian Green Building Council and has 5 Star ratings by Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA).
GIREM (Global Initiative for Restructuring Environment and Management) is an independent body focused on urban planning, development and Corporate Real Estate. GIREM Leadership awards are designed to recognize individuals and companies in the Indian realty and infrastructure field for leadership, innovation & best practices and are presented in 13 different categories. The review of nominations and selection of winners was conducted by high-level jury panel that included many industry stalwarts.

Developed in an area of around 11 acres, One Earth is one of the largest green building projects in the world with a built up of over 8,00,000 sq ft. What appealed to the jury was the project's whole-building approach towards sustainability by attaining key areas of human and environmental health, sustainable site development, efficient water, energy and waste methods, materials and resource selection, indoor environmental quality and most important innovation and design processes.
