Sydney Australia's Lair @ The Metro to host 3 Nights of Emergenza
On August 25, 29 and 30th Emergenza will bring its rock festival to the stage at the Lair @ The Metro.
- (1888PressRelease) August 22, 2013 - The Metro Theatre is one of Australia's mist popular music venues. Located on George Street in Sydney the Metro Theatre was created out of two former cinema's.
The venue was designed by the renowned Australian stage designer Brian Thomson. It features a lightweight plastic replica of the Art Deco crystal chandelier that hung in the Regent Theatre. At one time the Regent sat across the street from the Metro Theatre.
The Metro's Lair hosts indie rock and alternative rock bands. Often times international superstars will take to its stage. The Lair was originally called Transit Lounge. The Lair's primary function was hosting MTV Australia's The Lair live music program.
Emergenza will bring its rock festival to the Lair for three night of intense rock and roll. Emergenza is a rock festival for up and coming rock bands. The festival plays in more than 150 cities across the globe. The festival features up and coming bands from all around the world.
Emergenza is held in knockout rounds in different countries throughout the year. The first rounds are decided by the votes of the attending audience. The vote is open and the audience can vote for as many bands as it chooses as many times as it wants. The final is decided by a professional panel of judges.
National winners are flown at Emergenza's expense to Germany to compete in the international finals. The international finals are held at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. Bands will share the bill with some of rocks biggest legends. The winning band receives a tour, studio time, promotion and musical instruments and is crowned "The Best Band in the World."
