Sutron Corporation Announces Contracts and Purchase Orders Totaling $2,432,015 for November
Sutron Corporation (NASDAQ: STRN), a global leader in hydrological, meteorological, air quality and oceanic monitoring products, systems, software and services, is pleased to announce we have received purchase orders from international and government organizations during the month of November.
- Richmond-Petersburg, VA (1888PressRelease) January 08, 2015 - Two purchase orders from the U. S. Geological Survey for Sutron hydrological monitoring equipment and for dam safety monitoring in Kentucky total $877,611.
Several purchase orders for our LEADSŪ comprehensive weather information systems software, data and services equaling $863,385 were awarded to Sutron including one for $213,261 for a fire weather software system for the country of Brunei and another for a $456,638 purchase of licenses for Sutron's Enhanced Softcopy Mapping System (ESMS). ESMS provides high-speed, accurate mapping solutions and is usually installed as embedded software within the users system. Due to ESMS's speed and high resolution, the United States Air Force has over 1,000 active licenses used to support multiple weapon systems such as the Global Hawk.
A purchase order from the City of Austin, Texas for $191,600 for data loggers and other flood monitoring equipment and services and a $145,753 purchase order for a project in Jordan to monitor rainfall and groundwater were also received. The balance of other bookings were primarily for Sutron software, data and services for existing customers.
