As an island province of the Republic of Tanzania which is actively promoting socio-economic development through good ocean stewardship, green tourism and related resources, Zanzibar is developing its blue economy. This was underlined at Tanzania’s Annual Information and Communication Conference (TAIC), held in Zanzibar in October 2022, where tourism projects accounted for more than 62% of investment funding from government.

A CoC is the ultimate turnkey document to access Zanzibar’s markets and SGS’s paper-free solution is enhanced with the adoption of digital inspections, allowing for real-time consignment reviews and the reduction of turnaround times for PVoC certificate issuance.
