Sustaining Our World operates differently than other green retail sites. It affiliates with other sites to present true one-stop shopping. Is something missing? We'll affiliate with another site that has that kind of product in abundance.
Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, NC (1888PressRelease) May 22, 2014 - Sustaining Our World has launched its completely redesigned and expanded shopping mall. While other sites claim to offer one-stop shopping, none truly does. Environmental consciousness encompasses so many areas of interest that existing sites are bound to fall short on some of them. We don't. http://www.sustainingourworld.com
Rather than try to amass a comprehensive selection of its own, Sustaining Our World has affiliated with numerous other green sites. The selection of products displayed from any one of them serves as shop windows in a store.
The solution to a lack of products related to any aspect of environmental consciousness therefore becomes simple: identify and affiliate with a site that specializes in them. Our new site has the flexibility to showcase the extensive range of whatever being sustainable means to its visitors.
And just what does sustainability mean? Too many sites use it only as a buzzword. Too many of the online definitions are dry and complicated.
David Guion, owner of Sustaining Our World, says, "I take 'sustainable' to describe actions and decisions that people and societies can continue indefinitely without causing harm to the environment, the economy, or human dignity." Introducing "sustaining" into the company name underscores its importance.
Guion considers education as the core of his mission. He also writes and edits the blog Sustainable Green Homes, named one of the top 100 environmental blogs in 2013. He also reaches out with informative and inspirational news via email.
"Doesn't it make more sense," Guion asks, "to find reasons to take care of the environment that actually matter to people? My aim is to empower individuals, not try to force them to share a political viewpoint."
Market research also indicates that too many people equate "eco-friendly" with inferior, overpriced products lacking in any sense of style. Although recent years have seen a wider variety of green products in stores, many entire product lines are available only online.
Sustaining Our World quietly provides a safe place for people who are not activists to find excellent products that will enhance their lives and be good for the environment at the same time.
Guion adds, "Sustaining Our World used to be called Eco-Friendly Home Products. That name perfectly captured what we offer. It equally described at least a dozen other sites. Our services stand out from the rest. Now our name does, too."
