SuperiorReview Names Lockton VP of Advisory Services
Seasoned eDiscovery Consultant Will Focus on Strategic Management.
- Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, AR-MO (1888PressRelease) February 07, 2015 - Superior Review, a national provider of legal staffing and discovery management services, announced today that Melissa Lockton has been named Vice President of Advisory Services for the firm.
Melissa advises companies on the eDiscovery process with specific expertise in managing litigation in the retail industry. She has broad experience in complex, multi-jurisdiction discovery issues, and in design and implementation of processes that ensure the appropriate preservation, collection and production of electronic data.
"I'm delighted to take on this role," Lockton remarked. "With my specialized knowledge based on long-term experience with corporate legal departments, I look forward to expanding my contribution to SuperiorReview's service offering. This encompasses advising in-house counsel from a global approach to consider alternative sourcing, shared services, and greater technology assistance in an effort to meet their goal of reducing redundancy, inefficiencies, and unnecessary expense."
Importantly, Melissa's promotion comes while she participates in SuperiorReview's flex-time program, which is the cornerstone of the firm's efforts to drive talent retention and advancement. "Superior Review is one of the best companies for working caregivers," said Lockton. "My position is a powerful testimony to one of the company's core values: namely, that leadership, innovation and initiative are not limited to the traditional, nine-to-five workday, but can be identified and leveraged in many different scenarios and circumstances."
SuperiorReview partners with corporate legal departments to proactively assist with cost-effective consumption of litigation and e-discovery support services. The new Advisory Services vertical will leverage knowledge management and risk management skills to help clients restructure relationships with outside counsel and vendors, ultimately re-engineering firms' litigation management efforts by revamping the supply chain.
Prior to joining SuperiorReview, Melissa earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, and went on to practice with both Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice and Dentons (previously Sonnenschein Nath and Rosenthal). Melissa is well-versed in defending premises liability and products liability cases.
Joe Valenzuela, President of SuperiorReview, commented on Melissa's appointment. "For nearly ten years, SuperiorReview has been providing comprehensive, cost-effective managed review and consulting services for law firms and corporate clients. By creating the Advisory Services division, we'll be able to offer clients an enhanced perspective on long-term strategic planning for discovery and litigation management. Melissa brings tremendous insight and leadership, and we're delighted to have her at the helm."
