For the second year, The RAM is hosting Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 3, 10 and 17 from 9 a.m. to noon. Children may have their photo taken with the jolly old elf in exchange for a donation to the Puyallup South Hill Lions Club.
Sleep Country USA is hosting a Foster Kids Secret Santa Toy Drive now through December 11. The store is requesting that unwrapped books, toys and games be dropped off at the nearest Sleep Country store, including the Sunrise Village location. With nearly 20,000 foster kids in the Northwest, this is an affordable way to help make a child's holiday special. For more information or to donate, visit Sleep Country Foster Kids online.
To help animals in need, Banfield Pet Hospital at PetSmart® in Sunrise Village is holding a pet food drive now through December 31. Food donations will help feed pets at the Metro Animal Services shelter and will be donated to families who are struggling to feed their pets. Rawhide chews are also being accepted to help keep shelter animals busy as they anxiously wait for a home.
The Puyallup South Hill Lions Club is hosting a Christmas Tree Sale at the northwest corner of Sunrise Village. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through December 23, the Lions Club has hundreds of Grand, Douglas and Noble fir trees to choose from. Ranging in price from $28 to $99, trees vary in size from four to nine feet in height. Volunteers will bale trees and rope them to vehicles at no charge; however, donations will be graciously accepted. Net profits go back to the community to help pay for sight and hearing services including glasses, hearing aids, exams and more.
"There are so many families in need this holiday season," says Cindy Bogar, General Manager of Sunrise Village. "It is great to see our merchants share their holiday spirit with the community."
