The 2nd phase of the NYS Electronic Equipment Recycling & Reuse Act took effect January 1, 2012. Now any organization engaged in the collection of solid waste for delivery to a NYS solid waste management facility (i.e. private or municipal solid waste haulers/transporters) will no longer be able to dispose of electronics in landfills.
Sunnking, Inc., an electronics recycling company, has generously donated over $8,000 to Camp Good Days and Special Times through their "E-Scrap For Camp" campaign. This campaign encouraged businesses in Buffalo, NY to collect old, unwanted electronics from their office for responsible recycling with Sunnking. The partnership was established to raise money to help children with cancer to camp.
Sunnking Electronics Recycling is the first and only facility in NYS to achieve R2 (Responsible Recycling) Certification. The certification was granted right around the same time that the new NYS electronics recycling law took effect.
Sunnking electronics is helping to send kids with cancer to Camp Good Days through local electronics recycling collections with Buffalo businesses and residents.
Sunnking Electronics Recycling has teamed up once again with an Upstate NY community organization to host an electronics recycling collection for local residents and businesses. A total of 12,348 lbs. of eScrap was collected with the help of volunteers from the East Aurora Rotary Club.
