- (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2010 - Dallas, TX - Sunera LLC (www.sunera.com), a leading provider of business consulting and technology risk management services, would like to announce that it has completed its acquisition of Amend & Snodgrass LLC. After being spun out of AC Lordi to form a new standalone entity, Amend & Snodgrass LLC's CEO, Brian Amend, has elected to join forces with Sunera and will be combined with Sunera's current Dallas office to form a single consulting presence in the market. This addition to Sunera's Dallas location adds several notable clients to Sunera's client base along with significant resource depth in accounting and risk management.
Brian Amend, the former Managing Principal of AC Lordi's Dallas office, has been tapped to lead the practice and will assume the role of Managing Director. His responsibilities will include managing the practice and continuing to grow Sunera's market share in the Dallas market. Mr. Amend has more than 18 years of managerial and leadership experience in risk management, internal audit, and accounting. Most notably, he helped AC Lordi establish and build its Dallas practice and in the process was selected as one of the "Top 40 Under 40" by the Dallas Business Journal. Prior to assuming the Dallas practice leadership of AC Lordi in 2008, Mr. Amend worked for Protiviti and also served as Chief Financial Officer for an international trading company and a large credit union.
Brian Amend said, "When John Snodgrass and I acquired the Dallas practice of AC Lordi, our primary goal was determining how to best position and grow our practice beyond the success we experienced over the past two years. Ultimately, we found Sunera to have similar core values as well as the strategic vision to expand nationally, thereby providing the best opportunity for success in this market. We are very excited about the expanded national and international presence of Sunera, along with the expanded technology risk management capabilities."
Also commenting on the acquisition, Sunera Principal Emmett Lange said, "Combined with our existing Dallas practice, we can now offer our Texas clients the full breadth of Sunera's accounting, internal audit and technology risks services. Brian, John and the rest of the team have an excellent reputation for quality service and we are very excited to have them join our team. This is another important step in our national growth strategy."
This is Sunera's third acquisition of 2010 and continues a year of unprecedented growth for the firm. Since the beginning of 2010, Sunera has added more than 45 new employees and over 75 new clients. Specifically, Sunera's newer office locations in Boston, Raleigh and Phoenix have already seen several key wins in their respective markets while Sunera's more established offices in Tampa, Miami, Atlanta and Calgary have experienced a surge in growth adding to the company's overall profitability.
