(1888PressRelease) November 12, 2011 - St. Petersburg, FL - Dr. Tiffany Jessee, a bariatric surgeon in Florida with Sun Coast Bariatrics has brought Dr. Robyn Ache, another female surgeon, on board with her team, making them the only two female bariatric surgeons in Florida. Dr. Ache has worked with Dr. Jessee for the last five years at Largo Medical Center, Indian Rocks Campus where Dr. Ache completed her internship and surgical residency.

When asked about her role as a female surgeon, Dr. Ache said, "I think that female surgeons tend to be a little better at empathizing with their patients and can have a softer bedside manner. Women are often more nurturing by nature and this comes across when they are dealing with surgical patients."

A graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Dr. Ache will join Dr. Jessee in performing gastric band procedures, including the LAP-BAND and Realize bands, using the SPIDER Surgical Platform, a technique that Dr. Jessee was first in the world to use. Although Dr. Ache is also a general surgeon, she has a true passion for bariatric surgery or weight loss surgery.
