Announcing Dates for CWC's Lebanon Gas Summit: 24 June 2013, Rome, Italy.
- (1888PressRelease) April 17, 2013 - The inaugural Lebanon Gas Summit held under the patronage of His Excellency Eng Gebran Bassil, Lebanon Minister of Energy & Water, will take place 24 June 2013 at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Rome, Italy. The Summit will bring together representatives from the Lebanon Ministry and Petroleum Administration with international operators to discuss Lebanon's hydrocarbon potential and the First Offshore Licensing Round.
Lebanon is regarded by the global oil industry as one of the most attractive investment destinations worldwide, with an estimated 30-40 trillion cubic feet of gas, a single offshore field could alone contain 12 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. It is widely accepted that Lebanon has the potential to be a global gas supplier and has committed to take advantage of its promising offshore hydrocarbon landscape and strategic geopolitical position of bridging Europe with the Middle East, through the launch of its exploration tenders.
The Petroleum Administration commented "We are very much looking forward to the Lebanon Gas Summit in Rome and to sharing the latest updates from Lebanon with the international audience."
The Lebanon Gas Summit, co-located with the North Africa Gas Summit, taking place 25-26 June 2013 at the Grand Plaza, Rome, Italy, will focus on investment opportunities in the sector, new technologies, the legal frameworks and the short-term and long-term vision. The Summit is the annual meeting place for all those interested in and currently involved in Lebanon's hydrocarbon sector.
