  • (1888PressRelease) June 13, 2011 - The adage "scarcity brings clarity" has been epitomized across the Middle East over the past few years of economic downturn, - in a continual bid to optimize resources - increasing number of businesses have been evolving and applying key Project and Process Management principles to almost all aspects of their business. Perhaps what is more encouraging; is the willingness of a number of government entities across the region to explore - what has hitherto been the primary preserve of corporate entities - Project Management Practices as a key aid in seamless implementation of major government projects. This is all the more underscored by the fact that an increasing number of organizations are looking at project management certification as a pre-requisite for many key positions.

SUKAD - a Dubai based global leader in Project & Process Management, recently conducted a pro-bono workshop for one of the most prestigious non-profit organization in the region, The Syria Trust for Development. This was a part of SUKAD's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The workshop on "Contract Management" was delivered to a team managing the construction of a multi-million dollar project called "Rose of Damascus - Wardit Dimashq", a state of the art discovery center for children.

Mr. Mounir Ajam, CEO of SUKAD says - "This training program and SUKAD's ongoing CSR initiatives are part of our larger strategic objective of helping develop a knowledge based society. It has been our steadfast conviction at SUKAD; that it is only a more knowledgeable society that drives the implementation of "best business practices"; which in turn lays the foundation for sustainable growth and a healthy business environment."

Some of the other beneficiaries of SUKAD's ongoing CSR program include - Emirates Foundation, Tawteen Program and the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects.
