Subaru Of Santa Monica Teams Up With Meals On Wheels West To Delivery Cheer
Subaru of Santa Monica partners with Meals On Wheels West to distribute cheer and gifts to senior clients who are homebound and depend upon MOWW for daily meals and a friendly visit to reduce hunger and isolation.

"'Share the Love' has always been about giving back to our communities in which we live and work," said Subaru director of marketing communications Alan Bethke. "Subaru 'Share the Love' charitable partners have always reflected the values and ideals of our owners.
As in previous years, Subaru will donate $250, up to a total of $5 million, for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from November 21 through January 2. Subaru has donated nearly $20 million to charitable causes and organizations since the "Share the Love" campaign debuted four years ago.
Meals On Wheels West (MOWW) in Santa Monica is the local beneficiary of Share the Love donations. On Thursday, December 20, 2012 a fleet of beautiful 2013 Subaru vehicles driven by employees will deliver meals and holiday gifts to homebound residents of Santa Monica who receive Meals On Wheels West.
MOWW provides nutritious meals and a friendly check in to neighbors who are unable to purchase and prepare meals for themselves due to illness, disability or mobility restrictions. Everyone is serves regardless of age or ability to pay for the services.
The agency is always looking to increase awareness in the community of the availability of these safety net services which allow neighbors to age healthy in their homes with dignity. Regular healthy meals improve overall health and is as important as prescription medicine.
