Strong Demand for Air Travel during Winter 2012, Reports Airlines for America

Over the period, most planes are expected to be almost 85-90% full as airlines have matched their seating capacity with the projected demand to cope with rising fuel and other costs.
While the weekend preceding Christmas and the days immediately after the festival and New Years are expected to be the busiest, the daily passenger volumes are expected to be anywhere between 1.5 million to 2.3 million.
