- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) February 18, 2011 - Never one to shy away from a challenge, current IBF Southern Regional welterweight champion, Paul Delgado will step up in competition and travel to Ljubljana to take on IBF welterweight champion Jan Zaveck. With Zaveck a heavy favorite on most books, Delgado will have to overcome both the unfamiliar surroundings and the underdog label to seize a victory on February 18, 2011. A situation the Atlanta resident Delgado does not take lightly.
"I relish these opportunities, and I know they do not come around every day. Zaveck is a tough opponent, and his record (30-1-1) speaks for itself. That being said, I feel good about my chances. I have a top notch training staff, and I've prepared both mentally and physically for quite some time to compete at this level.
