Strategic Meeting Point for Shale Development in Asia Pacific Announced
The CWC Group and The International Gas Union today have announced the dates for the World Shale: Asia Pacific Summit taking place on the 9-11 July 2012 in Beijing, China.

The World Shale: Asia Pacific Summit, content centres on the development of the unconventional resources in Asia Pacific with focus on shale and CBM, North America success story and its applications and opportunities and incentives for investors in the region.
The US Energy Information Agency early this year reported initial assessments of 1,275 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of technically recoverable shale gas resources in China, compared with 862 Tcf in the United States. With the first shale gas basins blocks already in exploration phases it represent a potential game changer for China's energy strategies, and PetroChina aiming to produce 500 million cubic meters of shale gas by 2015.
