In February 2017 the Strand Cruise will set sail on a wondrous 4 night 'Musical Voyage through Myanmar' over the Valentine's Day holiday.

Among these musicians - a string quartet of two violins, one viola and a cello, an oboe, clarinet, bassoon and flute - will be artists from the famous Opera de Paris and Orchestre de Paris. Accompanying them will be French music journalist Elsa Boublil who will give a lively introduction to each concert, providing passengers with information on the composers and scores.
Taking place against different backdrops and locations as the Strand Cruise's custom-built Myanmar cruise ship makes its way along the mighty Ayeyarwady River, the concerts will include a Mozart themed recital and dinner on a private sandbank, sunset on the ship's sundeck to the sounds of Mozart's quintet for clarinet and strings, and string quartet in G major and a Valentine's Day concert featuring Brahms' quintet for clarinet and strings, and the theme from the film The Mission for oboe and strings.
