- (1888PressRelease) July 17, 2013 - Bespoke furniture manufacturer, Stoneham Kitchens has launched its 150th anniversary celebrations in style at The Coronation Festival in The Gardens at Buckingham Palace.
Stoneham Kitchens, which was established in 1864, marked the beginning of its anniversary celebrations with a stunning exhibit at this weekend's prestigious Buckingham Palace event. In addition to commemorating its long and illustrious history, the bespoke manufacturer showcased its exciting new kitchen ranges, Holwood and Darwin.
"We are thrilled to be exhibiting alongside some of best examples of innovation and excellence in British trade and craft," says Managing Director, Adrian Stoneham. "It's a great opportunity to celebrate not just our rich heritage, but also the superb talent we have at the company today. Stoneham has become renowned for its credibility, dependability and honesty; indeed these were key factors in our being awarded the Royal Warrant. I can't think of a better way to kick off our 150th anniversary celebrations."
Adrian is the fifth generation Stoneham to manage the company, something he takes great pride in. "As a family company, we're not about being here today, gone tomorrow. We take a long-term view, and this Festival is a great opportunity to join other businesses that share our ethos of superior quality and service," he says.
"This is an exciting milestone for Stoneham Kitchens and a fantastic time to reflect on where we are today: the people (employees, suppliers, dealers and customers); the designs and new innovations; how we've overcome industry challenges along the way; and the company vision that has been a driving force throughout," adds Sales Director, Howard Stoneham.
The Coronation Festival, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of The Queen's Coronation, was a special event bringing together companies and individuals who hold Royal Warrants of Appointment. The Royal Warrant is awarded to those who have supplied goods or services to the Households of The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales, for more than five years.
Following a Royal Preview on Thursday, the Festival opened to members of the public on Friday 12th July and remained open until 4pm on Sunday 14th July. In addition to the daytime festival, there was an evening Gala on Friday and Saturday to celebrate cultural life during the reign of Her Majesty, showcasing the achievements and personality of this extraordinary age.
