This webinar is being organized with expert panelists: Mr. Saurav Ujjain (Business Head SEA at ThreadSol) and Mr. Navdeep Sodhi (Head Consulting & Textiles at Gherzi Textil Organization).

Vietnam’s textile and apparel sector has seen fast and sustainable growth over the past years, playing an important role in national socio-economic development. It is forecasted to get further growth rate in the forthcoming years due to advantages from global economic recovery and TPP agreement.

Vietnam is already a prime location for foreign investors operating in the textile industry.

“Amongst all the growth pattern, there has been a decline in the profit margins of the Vietnamese manufacturers. The labor costs have increased owing to the minimum wage requirement in the country. This, coupled with pressure to decrease the overall manufacturing cost, has led to a decline in the profit margins”, said Saurav Ujjain.

The Stitch Diary webinar’s focus point will revolve around such challenges faced by the Vietnamese manufacturers and the solutions for the same.
The panelists will also discuss the role of automation and modern machinery in giving a boost to the industry.
