Stewart Francke Signs Worldwide e-book Deal with Untreed Reads for Cancer Memoir
Detroit musician and writer Stewart Francke today signed with e-book publisher Untreed Reads to release What Don't Kill Me Just Makes Me Strong, his memoir of surviving Leukemia and a bone marrow transplant. The e-book will be available by Summer 2011.
- Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) March 11, 2011 - Renowned singer-songwriter Stewart Francke has signed a contract with Untreed Reads, a leading e-book publisher, to release "What Don't Kill Me Just Makes Me Strong," Stewart's memoir of his battle with leukemia, a bone marrow transplant, lengthy complications, addiction and recovery.
"I'm thrilled to be on the cutting edge of the e-book phenomenon," Francke says, "and eager to write this book and make sense of all that's happened over the last several years. Untreed Reads will get this story out and into the hands of my audience. People are buying more e-books now than conventional books, and I'm very optimistic we'll quickly find our readership, to continue the same conversation we have going with my songs. Francke will also release his 11th cd, Heartless World, on May 17, 2011. It's his first cd of new music since 2002. The album's single, "Summer Soldier (Holler If Ya Hear Me)," features rock legend Bruce Springsteen on vocals along with Francke.
The cd will be released independently on Blue Boundary via Burnside Distribution & digitally by IODA/Sony. The release of Heartless World will be supported with a Michigan mini-tour this summer, with Francke and his band playing select cd release concerts in Detroit, Saginaw, Canton, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and many other summer concert stops.
