Stevens-Henager College Offers Military Tuition Assistance Program
Stevens-Henager College has announced its participation in the Military Tuition Assistance Program to make higher education more accessible for members of the Armed Forces. Military education specialists at Stevens-Henager College campuses will help the service members through the entire process of accessing the Tuition Assistance benefit.
- Salt Lake City-Ogden, UT (1888PressRelease) November 19, 2010 - Stevens-Henager College has announced its participation in the Military Tuition Assistance Program in a bid to make higher education more accessible to members of the Armed Forces.
The Military Tuition Assistance Program is a benefit offered by the Armed Forces to further and support the educational goals of military service members. As part of this program, Congress has given the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard the mandate to pay up to 100% of the tuition expenses of its eligible service members.
The eligibility criteria and application process is different for each Service, and the money is usually paid directly to the educational institution chosen by a service member.
In order to use this benefit, eligible service members need to select an academic program at any of the Stevens-Henager's campuses and get it approved by their base education officer. A military education specialist at their campus will then help them through the entire process of accessing the Tuition Assistance benefit.
Members should note that Tuition Assistance is not a loan extended to them. It is a benefit that they have earned and will enjoy in return for providing services to the country.
