Stevens-Henager College Offers Healthcare Administration Degree with Biomedical Clinical Specialties Emphasis
Stevens-Henager College (SHC) has introduced a new Healthcare Administration program with an emphasis in Biomedical Clinical Specialties.
- Provo-Orem, UT (1888PressRelease) March 18, 2011 - Currently, Stevens-Henager College offers this emphasis only through its Provo/Orem campus in Utah and its satellite campus in Lehi.
"Biomedical" refers to the application of natural science principles to clinical medicine, and it forms an important part of the modern-day healthcare delivery system. Sophisticated equipment and high-tech gadgets are routinely employed by healthcare providers for the evaluation, diagnosis, and investigation of diseases.
In this context, it's important for health services managers to understand the complexity of the healthcare system they're entrusted with running, and that's precisely what SHC's Healthcare Administration degree with a Biomedical Clinical Specialties emphasis is designed to do.
The program curriculum covers a wide range of courses meant to provide graduates with the clinical skills, computer knowledge, and business intelligence they will need to function as supervisors or managers in a variety of healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, nursing, and residential care facilities.
Students require a total of 181.5 credits to complete the Biomedical Clinical Specialties emphasis. The goal of this program is to prepare graduates to start their career with entry-level management roles before moving to more senior positions.
Applicants of the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration with an emphasis on Biomedical Clinical Specialties must have a high school diploma or a G.E.D. certificate. They will also be required to go through a campus interview and complete other enrollment formalities before they can start school.
Prospects are also encouraged to meet with a financial planner at the Provo/Orem campus, who will develop a personalized financial plan for them as well as explain the various federal aid options that are available to those who qualify.
Once the enrollment process is complete, students can begin classes within a month. They have the option of earning their degree in 36 months, or in as few as 30 months though Stevens-Henager College's flexible schedule.
