Steven Todd Is Arizona Home Builder's New Project Manager
Starwood Custom Homes adds an additional project manager to its staff to work with clients and contractors to facilitate the building process.
- (1888PressRelease) February 11, 2017 - Steven Marcus Todd joins the professional team at Starwood Custom Homes as a project manager. Marcus, as he prefers to be called, has an extensive background in the construction industry. As a project manager, he will work closely with artisans, contractors and suppliers to turn the dream home envisioned by the clients working with him into a reality.
"Someone with the knowledge and hands-on experience in every facet of the construction industry that Marcus possesses is a perfect fit for what we want in a project manager," according to Starwood Custom Homes co-founder Jake Simonton. "We are confident his ability to work and communicate with ease with homebuyers and members of the building trades will facilitate the home building process for our clients."
Marcus received a plans examining and blue print certification from Scottsdale Community College. He also has an electrician-electrical certificate from North American Technical College. A firm believer in improving his knowledge and skills, Marcus is a candidate for a bachelor's degree in urban planning from Arizona State University.
Before joining Starwood Custom Homes, Marcus held positions as assistant construction superintendent, construction superintendent and project manager for several construction companies engaged in building residential homes in communities throughout Arizona. His duties have included on-site management and scheduling, homeowner orientation and final inspections, contractor and supplier supervision, and consulting with engineers, designers and architects.
The skills Marcus developed in two decades in the construction industry promises to benefit the clients of Starwood Custom Homes. As a project manager, he will work closely with buyers as he guides them through the company's 10-step custom home building process. Starwood believes the focus should be on its clients, so its project managers work closely with them during the building of the home to answer questions and facilitate the construction of their dream home.
An important part of the project manager's job at Starwood is the final walk-through inspection. Project managers accompany clients during an inspection of their completed home to verify it meets the design and construction specifications and standards people expect from a Starwood home. The project manager will make note of any issues and take steps to have them addressed immediately to the client's satisfaction.
