Steve Muehler, CEO of Blue Coast Securities, announces Five Star Hotel Venture in Myanmar
Mr. Steven Muehler, Chief Executive Officer of Blue Coast Securities Corporation, today announced that the firm has entered into an agreement for a controlling interest of a new Five Star Hotel being constructed in Myanmar.
- (1888PressRelease) May 23, 2013 - Los Angeles, California - Mr. Steven J. Muehler, Chief Executive Officer of Blue Coast Securities Corporation today announced it has closed an agreement for a Five Star Hotel to be built in the heart of Yangon, Myanmar.
The Myanmar project is to renovate the current 'Railway Station Center' in the business district of Downtown Yangon into a 4-5 star class hotel consisting of 250 rooms with large luxury outdoor swimming pool area, three 'high-end' restaurants, business center and ball room.
Why Myanmar? We asked Mr. Muehler, "Simple, we are right now completing a deal for a minority equity interest in fourteen hotels currently operating in Spain and one in the Czech Republic, a deal that should be in place before the month's end. As it pertains to Myanmar, we are look for that next economic frontier, and all indications point to Myanmar."
"Since the dramatic thawing of the United States relationship with Myanmar following the ascent of now President Thein Sein and his 'quasi-civilian regime' three years ago, Many U.S. diplomats including: Hilary Clinton, William Hague and even President Obama have made visits to the Country, and Corporate America is moving in here as well, with Ford, Hilton Hotels, Coca-Cola and Google are all each trying to find their place in what the IMF calls the NEXT ECONOMIC FRONTIER IN ASIA."
When asked if any Corporate Partnerships are in the works with Flagged Hotel Chains like Hilton, Mr. Muehler said "We have had talks, but there are no agreements in place at this time."
Myanmar, also known as Burma, is a sovereign state in Southeast Asia bordered by China, Thailand, Laos and Bangladesh. Yangon is the former Capital City with a population of over four million people. The City of Yangon continues to be the Country's largest city and the Country's most important commercial center.
