Steve Bailey of HB Financial Resources Earns Prestigious Loren Dunton Memorial Award
Steve Bailey is given the elite Loren Dunton Memorial Award for outstanding contribution to the financial services profession and/or the financial interests of the public for 2010.
- Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill, NC-SC (1888PressRelease) August 13, 2010 - Steve Bailey, an Investment Advisor Representative with NEXT Financial Group, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC, has been awarded the Loren Dunton Memorial Award for 2010. He has over 36 years experience in the financial industry and specializes in insurance, securities, investments, services, trusts, estates and financial planning.
Bailey holds numerous professional designations including RFC®, CEP, CSA, LUTCF, CEBA, and MFP. He is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He served as president of the National Association of Life Underwriters in Charlotte and won a national award for growth. Over the last 25 years, he has taught Financial Planning to several colleges and universities in the Charlotte area. "I learned long ago that my community and civic involvement contributes to my own personal growth," said Bailey. He continues to deliver lectures and programs on financial planning to his clients, church and civic groups, and the general public. He currently serves as president for the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC).
Bailey has written numerous articles for a variety of publications. He is the author of Dollar$ense, A Book for Matured Adults. He has also earned many honors that include being named one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men of Charlotte. He received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, North Carolina's highest civilian award and was given the Key to the City of Charlotte.
According to The Register Magazine, The Loren Dunton Memorial Award is presented to people who have made significant contributions to the financial services profession and to the public. The award is presented annually in honor of Loren Dunton, the founder of the financial planning profession, who organized financial professionals in the late sixties. Candidates must have demonstrated effectiveness in carrying the message of responsible financial stewardship to the public. Candidates must hold a professional designation and have high professional and ethical standards. Their career must be in support of Loren's mission, "to help people do a better job of spending, saving, investing, insuring and planning for the future, in order to achieve financial independence."
