Stepping Stones Learning Center Opens New Unique Facilities in Rochester, NY
Stepping Stones of Irondequoit, NY, a suburb of Rochester, NY, created a 40,000 Sq. Ft. State-of-the-Art Learning Facility for Children and Youth With and Without Disabilities.
- Rochester, NY (1888PressRelease) October 20, 2014 - Stepping Stones Learning Center, a non-profit educational and childcare provider, is excited to announce the opening of its new facilities located in Irondequoit, New York, a suburb of Rochester, New York. Their new state-of-the-art educational facility is located at 2111 Hudson Avenue in the town of Irondequoit, New York. Stepping Stones Learning Center purchased the former Chase Pitkin building in October of 2013 and contracted Mitchell Design Build of Pittsford, NY, to transform what was once a big empty 'box' into an exciting and uniquely designed, 40,000 sq. ft. learning facility.
"We are thrilled to be celebrating the grand opening of our beautiful, new facility. It's so unique, one has to experience it to truly understand what a special place for learning it is," said Mariellen Cupini, Founder and CEO of Stepping Stones. She adds, "We had operated from what once was the St. Thomas Catholic elementary school in Irondequoit, NY, since the school was founded in 1994. The school had character, but this new building represents who Stepping Stones is today; progressive, forward thinking, and ready to meet the ever-changing needs of our students and families."
The new building was designed with village-styled interior streets, complete with quaint lampposts and colorful facades that resemble homes, to give students the comfort of a home-like setting. The classrooms are large, colorful and bright. There is also an impressive gymnasium, an outdoor playground area, food preparation facilities, and much more.
Cupini also comments, "As our students learn and grow, our family centered, all-inclusive approach to learning, special education and developmental life skills training, needed a new space where we could expand and grow, as well." She adds, "This beautiful building demonstrates not only our confidence in our future success, but also our commitment to the children, families, and the communities we serve."
Stepping Stones Learning Center is also proud to present their brand and logo design that represents will also unveil their new logo created by Gloria Kreitzberg of Artistic Vision Design, a graphic design firm located in Rochester, NY.
