Steelers' Pro Bowl Running Back Le'Veon Bell Announces Free Elite Exposure Football Camp on May 30th
Pro Bowl running back Le'Veon Bell of the Pittsburgh Steelers will host his High School Elite Exposure Camp on May 20th in Columbus, OH at his alma mater, Groveport Madison High School.
- Columbus, OH (1888PressRelease) May 08, 2015 - The 2015 Steelers' MVP will host a free camp on May 30th from 10am -2pm, at his alma mater, Groveport Madison High School in Columbus, Ohio for high school student athletes in grades 10-12.
Top area high school and college coaches will join Bell at this non-contact camp, with a focus on strengthening the attendees' foundation of the game and by providing position specific drills to work on during the off season. Bell's goal is to assist campers in maximizing their natural ability, while giving the athletes exposure to coaches and scouts at the next level. Equally as important is Bell's desire to use the camp to stress the importance of maintaining a strong work ethic and to dream big.
As a high school student athlete in Ohio, Bell dominated in football, track and basketball. He earned All-OCC Ohio Division honors in basketball as a junior and in football as a senior. His journey provided him with firsthand experience and insight in what it takes to be a successful student athlete, and was his motivation to start the Elite Exposure Football Camp. It is his hope to encourage area athletes to dream big and work hard to achieve those dreams.
"I'm blessed to have the opportunity to play this game at the highest level," said Bell. "But, I wouldn't be here without the support of my family, coaches and community along the way. For some of these campers, football will open the door for them to get a college education. My goal is to give them the tools to take advantage of those rare opportunities and overcome common challenges student athletes face as they transition to the collegiate level."
After a stellar college career at Michigan State University, the Steelers drafted Bell in the 2013 NFL Draft, and he has continued to collect accolades early in his professional career. In 2015 he was awarded the Steelers' MVP honor, AFC Offensive Player of the Year, FedEx Ground Player of the Year, Fantasy Player of the Year and selected to the Pro Bowl. Bell is poised to continue on his goal to be one of the NFL's top running backs and believes the best is yet to come.
The camp is sponsored in part by the NFL, Pepsi, Pittsburgh Steelers, NFLPA, Nike, Groveport EMT and Groveport Madison High School. For more information on the camp contact Profiles Public Relations, ProfilesPR ( @ ) gmail dot com dot
