Statewide Effort Celebrates Philanthropy
Family Promise to participate in 2016 Colorado Gives Day.
- Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) November 22, 2016 - Colorado is coming together for the seventh annual Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, Dec. 6. Organized by Colorado First Foundation, the event raised more than $28.4 million for state charities last year.
Family Promise of Greater Denver has participated in the giving day every year and is excited to be part of this year's outreach.
"Colorado Gives Day is an incredible opportunity for local nonprofits," said Allie Card, executive director of Family Promise. "The event makes it easy for donors to choose from more than 1,800 charities and support them through 24 hours of online giving. Our mission depends on this type of generosity, and we're honored to be part of such a crucial day to celebrate philanthropy and help so many in need."
The event also offers nonprofits access to a $1 million incentive fund, which matches the percentage of funds nonprofits receive on the giving day.
Supporters can donate to Family Promise Dec. 6, schedule a donation in advance, or create their own fundraising page to encourage others to give this December.
