Starfish Enterprises Limited reveals its corporate social responsibility initiatives at the 10th Fat Boys 10's Charity Rugby Tournament played at the Challenger Field on the Clark Airbase.
- (1888PressRelease) September 24, 2013 - Clark Freeport Zone, Philippines - Starfish Enterprises Limited, developer of the world's most advanced water purification technology, has recorded another success in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. This last weekend, the company donated 2,000 bottles of Starfish Pure water, for free distribution to the participants & spectators at the 10th Fat Boys 10's Charity Rugby Tournament played at the Challenger Field on the Clark Airbase.
This initiative was in conjunction with the local sub branch of the Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL) to whom the company has been regularly donating its bottled water for their medical missions.
"ICE Technologies, which manufactures all the Starfish equipment, is located in the Philippines and is mostly staffed & managed by Filipinos, so we are delighted to be able to reach out and help our own"
ICE's Director of Engineering, Remedios (Rem) Magtubo commented. "The next stage in our plan is to install a drinking water station for a local orphanage, the Bahay Bata, that will provide clean water for the staff and children as well as a livelihood project for the community" added Rem.
Starfish is also there in times of emergency such as when the company recently opened up its plant over a weekend to provide consignments of Starfish Pure bottled water for distribution to nearby communities that had lost access to clean water following tropical storm 'Maring'.
Starfish CEO Ian Cummins stated "We have the potential to bring clean water to so many people throughout the world, either through public or private sector initiatives and so we are keen to partner directly with individuals, corporations and/or governmental clients alike, to achieve this goal".
