- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) November 14, 2011 - Stanton Law LLC, a law firm focused on the practice of employment law from the employer's perspective, opened its doors this week in Atlanta. Firm founder and principal Todd Stanton recently decided to create his own practice and officially hung out his shingle on Monday, November 7. "Business owners and company managers face so many challenges today. I truly enjoy helping my clients implement the proper employment policies, structure, and procedures to ensure that this is one area about which they don't have to worry," said Stanton.
Practicing employment law from the employer's point of view, the firm's goal is to help companies avoid employment-related issues without sacrificing managerial efficiency. From helping to onboard the right employees, to coordinating workable job descriptions, HR policies, and compensation plans, to guiding our clients through disciplinary, performance, and leave issues, to executing respectful and amicable separations when necessary, Stanton Law provides bottom line-oriented legal advice to small and medium-sized employers.
"Stanton Law is not just a litigation firm or the lawyer you call when after a dispute arises, we're also here to help keep routine workplace issues from becoming big problems in the first place," Stanton explained.
To further meet the needs of Atlanta business owners, Stanton also created IntownEmployer, org. Much more than a blog, the site is designed to be an online access point to vetted service providers and their expertise. Attorneys, accountants, consultants, bankers, marketing professionals and other trusted advisors will share their best practices through blog posts, articles and Q&A, as well as through regular lunch-and-learns, coffees, and meet-and-greets throughout the Metro Atlanta area.
"Our goal is for Intown Employer to serve as a virtual sounding board for owners, executives, and managers to discuss and solve problems and increase efficiencies through the collective knowledge of a growing community. We also expect, and welcome, a certain amount of commiseration. Learning from the experiences and mistakes of others can save thousands of dollars and, perhaps, allow these professionals to maintain their sanity too," Stanton said.
Stanton starts his firm with some distinguished "big law" experience, having worked at both Fisher & Phillips and Bryan Cave (formerly Powell Goldstein). Prior to beginning his career in the legal field, Stanton served as an account executive for a technology company where he saw firsthand the amount of time and energy business owners spend dealing with employee, administrative, and regulatory issues.
